Don´t forget to add –ing to a verb after a
preposition!
There are two infinitive translations in
English:
1-
Using
to before the verb: to speak = falar, to want = querer, to laugh = rir
2-
Using
–ing as a suffix to the verb: She
enjoys dancing = Ela curte dançar; He is interested in applying for the new job vacance = Ele está interessado em se candidatar à nova vaga
Prepositions are words that connect two words.
Example of prepositions: in, on, at, about, from, for, by,
after, before, of, without, with, along, besides, etc
Exercise: Complete the sentences by adding a
correct preposition + Verb-ing
Obs.: Some of the Verbs + ing are nouns (nouns
